Ontologies are basically systems of definitions where you define the key concepts being used in the project so that everyone involved is using the same definitions and ‘speaking the same language’. When we have experts working together from different scientific disciplines it’s important to have a shared framework. You can learn more about the GALENOS ontology here.

Triangulation means using different points or angles to approach evidence. So in terms of GALENOS, we bring together evidence from research, the insights of people with lived experience of mental health conditions and combine with perspectives from prqactioners and researchers to answer the big questions about mental health. You can learn more about how GALENOS uses triangulation in our methodology here.
